About Me

About me

I am motivated by getting to work on complex problems with talented people. Seeing this work lead to meaningful products and solutions is what keeps me inspired day after day. I'm naturally drawn to environments that offer intellectual challenges, maintain a genuine commitment to excellence, and strike a balance between collaborative teamwork and individual autonomy.

My journey began in mechanical engineering, designing complex test and measurement equipment. An opportunity at NI took my family to Malaysia, where I built diverse teams, helped develop supply chains, and discovered a love for laksa.

Back in the US, I joined MakerBot as Engineering Director, diving into the fascinating world of 3D printing. This role expanded into operations, where I led the transition to overseas manufacturing while managing new product introductions. But product development called me back, and I returned to engineering to lead hardware development across all disciplines.

When MakerBot merged with Ultimaker, I took on the challenge of integrating and managing engineering teams across the US and Netherlands, further expanding my experience in leading international teams.

After several successful product launches and organizational transformations at UltiMaker, I'm now seeking new challenges.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and exploring the city on my bike.
